We’re already probably not getting panties and rather just having spats, even for outside CN releases. Then there’s this recent bullshit with Snowbreak which opens the door for mass reporting games and having fanservice forcefully purged, I’m not looking at this game all peachy, though I hope it won’t ever get that bad.

You have to think about two things:


1 – Will this game have a separate server for China? If yes, great, if not, forget it.


2 – Will this game be PEGI 12+? If yes, forget it, it means it will be toned down for a general Western audience. If it’s 16+, we can celebrate.


Observe these two things and we’ll know what the ecchi content of this game will be like. I always want as much ecchi as possible. And in Azur Promilla, for the first time, I’ll focus on the cute and funny ones

The fact that the chances of it aren’t zero despite the evidence, is the concerning part. Let’s just hope nothing bad will happens to it.

100% solved problem this is why everyone that’s not snowbreak uses a different builds for CN than everywhere else

I don’t know if it’s true but china literally made snowbreak to delete that server (censored version) and make the main game that’s from global to be completely censored, this makes me feel pessimistic about the gooner aspect of this game i think that’s why the whole global got screwed as well. Snowbreak got it , if this game reaches into the main stream or catches the eye of the Chinese government then this game could get screwed

Instead of worrying, I hope for a solid modding community, lax enforcement against harmless client modification, and a strong backend that prevents harmful actions. Underwear censorship is so far out of our control due to the chaos that it’s not worth worrying about.

It’s not just about the panties, how tame it will be also determines what kind of audience it will bring. This one is getting adopted by the twitter crowd if it’s tame, guaranteed.

There is a modding community in Azur Lane, but there is still a chance that Manjuu will ban users.

Snowbreak is different. They submitted one thing to the gov while on the other hand showing players how to get around it. So basically they got into shit not for the fan service but for lying.

i think we will get panties on global. i think the reason they dropped nexon is because they wanted to force that sort of censorship, and are either gonna self-publish, or find a more open publisher.

Censorship is a concern, but a lot of us test players are more worried about the modeling and physics of panties. It looks really bad when the character runs.

I’m assuming the ones shown on CBT are temporary because the dev still unsure how much will be allowed.

Of course people interested in the gameplay, story progression but they also hate the censorship, nothing complicate here.

What are you talking about, man? This is a game with fanservice as one of its pillars. In case you haven’t noticed from the character models and the waifu-only nature of the game, it’s as relevant as gameplay and story. Take the fanservice out of NIKKE and then argue that the story is still great and the gemplay is the same, and see the reaction you get from the fans.


The problem isn’t “just” granny panties with painted textures, but what that implies about the level of fanservice in the game, since even the most blatant level of censorship is already being applied.

Not gonna discuss a story I’m not invested in yet. Character design is something you see right away, if it’s shit, it’s shit.

No, I’m not there for the pokemon and unless the story is insane I won’t be impressed. This is the most valuable part of the game right now before launch, the fanservice.

If the story ends up being good then great, if the fanservice is trash I won’t care enough to invest time in the story and world.

I suppose there is merit in telling them your thoughts beforehand but I prefer to wait and see how they handle the global version first before getting too up in arms about this. Could end up getting upset over something they never planned to do for global. I’m still going to give them the benefit of the doubt but only time will tell, unfortunately.

This is manjuu we are talking about, if they think they could have gotten away with it, they would have done it. Unless you suspect that the company is being overtaken or something, you’re just emailing them about something they already know.

You can save your email for the timeline where the game explode and they start appealing to the greater audience.

Even if it’s Manjuu, that unfortunately doesn’t guarantee their intentions for AP. For these large 3D gacha games, the costs of maintaining a much larger production team, the costs of updates, and server maintenance are exponentially higher. So, unfortunately, they’ve been targeting broader audiences from the start. The strange thing is that Manjuu seems to want to maintain its identity, but keeps taking steps backward, things like, “We’re only going to release waifus, but don’t expect romance fantasy because we also have a female protagonist,” “The game will have steamy dorm interactions and daring outfits, but 90% of the basic models wear safety shorts,” or “Focus the initial marketing on lolis, Abby is by far the most popular character, but remove all the lolis from the websites, including Abby.”


I think that in this crazy dance of “we have fanservice,” but “not that much, don’t be scared,” the most likely outcome is that they won’t truly please anyone.
