(https://azurpromilia.jimi-global.com/en/) is not a small thing.
Thanks for this OP, this is kinda big.
I don’t know if this means that we’ll get a beta ourselves anytime soon, but this might give us a lead as to who is doing the localization for global. I’m really hoping JIMI can pull it off.
Aaaalright that’s one down. Now we need a couple more non-pammy lolis and the highest possible ammount of fanservice for literally everyone and we got a game
Don’t know if you’ve figured it out yet but if you’re using the English website, at the top right corner next to the “Pre-Register” button, you will see where it says “English.”
Hover over it and click on the Chinese characters, the website will change and a Cabbird to your right-hand side will show up.
If you click it, it should be self-explanatory from there.
Looks like you need to go [here](https://azurpromilia.jimi-global.com/zh-tw/cbt/) first, click “測試招募”, make an account and then you will be redirected to questionnaire.
If only… it would save money too. English voice actors are some of the worst people I have seen in the business, two examples, the one VA with NTE drama and the other one that wanted the character she voices to get a new design. Like you’re a voice actor it’s not your place to question any of that stuff
I’m someone who can actually enjoy EN dubs, but even I have to agree that they almost always bring unnecessary drama. I can’t think of many games where not one VA did or said something stupid
I’ll gladly purge all EN VA if that means the end of all the drama, and also the aforementioned tourists

Don’t forget the whole shitshow during the unione thing
I semi-agree with you, an EN dub would unfortunately bring in a specific crowd of people that may or may not be good for the game, depending on how pushy they are for stuff like censorship or demanding changes. Extremely unimportant things.
And unfortunately, having english VAs is just inviting a world of stupid drama and restrictions as well.
But having EN voices will undoubtedly bring in a certain amount of additional players and revenue to the game. The question becomes, is the additional revenue worth the additional cost to support an entire EN voice localization cast for such a game.
My honestly opinion is that I don’t think they will have EN voices. I was at TGS to play the most recent beta, and there was no English for anything, not even localization of game menu. I think its 1. Too late to find and voice cast the entire game at this point. 2. I don’t think they’re looking to want to deal with any of that at all. Its a huge investment for diminishing returns into a player base and voice cast that could be full of problems and potentially unnecessary demands.
Also the website has never had any EN voices for the characters.
If JIMI in Taiwan is really the global publisher, I doubt they are going to make that effort and front the cost to support a global EN voice cast.
Just because tourist brings money does not mean he is supposed to destroy/modify the things we love. Fuck their money. Fuck their politics and agenda. I love anime because its Japanese. And CHINESE captured the Japanese anime vibe perfectly unlike casual American/European cancer tourists who will reprimand me about watching A FICTION loli (or even not loli) character. Those people do not belong here. And if they want to belong they have to make effort understanding and accepting the anime culture.
EN cancer dub means EN cancer localization for “global audience”. So no. F them, gatekeep them HARD.
Before calling anyone a tourist we need to know who is the target audience first, at this point I’m still not sure yet but it definitely not Azur Lane players
TBH, I am fine with Dubs as long as we get to pick which language we want to hear.
Personally I do like JP better, cause they usually have the best sounding voices, lol
Tho most games for EN ver do start out with both JP and EN voice, then they survey/ review the game later to see what’s ppls preferred voice and either add or remove.
(and there’s Arknights going the 6 dubs for some characters, lol, they go crazy on voices)
That’s awesome! The chances are getting better. Btw, does anyone who played CBT knows if they kept the palworld-like gameplay of base building with monsters for labor? I love basebuilding in Endfield and still hoping AP hasn’t forgotten about it so I can have a different type of basebuilding in my gacha
